To add insult to injury,in just a few weeks, 374,000 NYC public school children will be taking yet another Standardized Test!
This time, it's a "field test," administered by the Pearson publishing company to assess the effectiveness of actual questions which will possibly be used on future exams.
Our students have lost way too much time on these tests already!!
I have been advising all of my students to boycott these tests: that they have nothing to loose and everything to gain. And I am not alone, I've heard from my students that teachers and administrators across the city are urging students to boycott these tests.
Three cheers for Zipporiah Mills, principal of Public School 261 in Boerum Hill, who returned the field tests unopened last year!!
