Judy McLoughlin
Teacher

Judy has an MA, English/Secondary Education from Hunter College. She also earned a BS in Athletic Administration from Saint John's University, where she captained the varsity swim team as a scholarship swimmer, and received honors at graduation as 'most outstanding scholar-athlete'.

Before joining the Cobble Hill Think Tank, Judy worked in public relations at Wagner College and Newsweek magazine, then switched careers and spent 14 years teaching English classes at St. John's Preparatory High School, where she also served as the Dean for the senior class.

Judy "retired" from St John's prep in 1997, and has been working as an independent tutor since. With two children approaching college age, Judy spends every spare moment scouring college websites, and is steadily educating herself on the college application process.

At the Cobble Hill Think Tank, Judy teaches reading and writing skills for middle and high school students, as well as Test Prep for the English Regents exam and the verbal sections of the SAT.
